The Power of Faith Evangelistic Church accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God.
We believe that:
1. The entire bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Ghost to which nothing can be added or taken away, which is the Power of God unto salvation to believers.
(II Peter 1:21, II Timothy3:16-17, Romans 1:16)
2. There is only one true and living God, eternal, with unlimited power, the creator of all things, and in the one God are three distinct persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.
(Ephesians 4:6, Matthew 28:19, I John 5:7)
3. The Son of God is the word made flesh, who assumed the human body through the Virgin Mary, and so is true God and true man; two natures in one person, the divine and human. Jesus Christ, therefore, is the only Saviour who in reality suffered death for the sins of mankind.
(John 1:14, I Peter 3:18)
4. There is a personal devil, who with all evil spirits wil be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.
(Matthew 25:41)
5. Regeneration of the new birth is received only through faith in Jesus Christ, who was delivered up for our transgressions and was raised for our justification. They who are in and have Him for wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
(Romans 3:24-25, II Corinthians 5:17, I Corinthians 1:30)
6. Water baptism by single immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, according to Christ's commission.
(Matthew 28:18, 19)
7. The bapstism in the Holy Ghost is an experience received subsequent to salvation, with the sign of speaking in tounges as the Holy Ghost gives utterance.
(Acts 2:4, 10:45-47, 19:6)
8. The Lord's Supper is done in remembrance of Christ Jesus.
(Luke 22:19-20, I Corinthians 11:24)
9. Jesus bore our infirmities; therefore, we lay hands on the sick.
(James5:14, Matthew 8:17)
10. Jesus is coming to rapture the church.
(I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:6)
11. Tithing and giving of offerings is a command of God
(Malachi 3:10)
12: There will be a bodily resurrection of all dead, just and unjust, and these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal.
(Acts 24:15, Matthew 25:46)
